Abstract

Background: Growth is the change in physical size from time to time. Physical size is the size of the human body in terms of dimensions, proportions and composition and is better know as antropometry. Data on short infant problems increased from 29,1 % in 2007 to 38,9 % in 2010. While skinny infant decreased from 13,7 % in 2007 to 12,0 % in 2010, (Riskesdas 2007 and 2010) .

Objective: To determine the correlation of energy, protein, Vitamin A and iron intake with two years infant growth in the working area of Jumpandang Baru Primary Health Care Makassar.

Methods: This research is an analytical research with Cross Sectional approach. The population and the sample is 35 teo years infants. The sample is using purposive sampling method by Statistical test with a significance of 0,05 (5 %) by using Chi-Square Test formula.

Results: Energy intake, protein intake, Vitamin A intake and iron intake are correlated with two years infants growth. Parents should keep the intake of foods that contain balanced nutrition.
