GAMBARAN ASUPAN ZAT GIZI MAKRO DAN STATUS GIZI IBU NIFAS DI WILAYAH SUDIANG KECAMATAN BIRINGKANAYA KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract

Background: Postpartum mothers are a group that malnutrition so puerperal mothers need adequate nutrition. Nutrient intake in nursing mothers / postpartum is closely associated with the production of milk is needed to tumbuhk Embang baby. The quality and amount of intake zatgizi consumed by the mother will affect the nutritional status of mothers and children.

Objective: This study aimed to describe the macro-nutrient intake and nutritional status of mothers in the postpartum Sudiang Regional District of Biringkanaya Makassar.

Methods: This study is descriptive researches with a total sample of 96 samples were selected by purposive sampling. Macro nutrient intake data obtained through food recall two times 24 hours. Nutritional status data obtained through anthropometric measures. Data are presented in tabular form and narrative.

Results: The results showed that protein intake is generally classified as good (46.9%), fat intake is generally classified as less (80.2%), and carbohydrate intake is generally classified as good (49.0%). Nutritional status of puerperal women classified as normal nutrition was 51 people (53.1%).

Suggestions: Recommended for other researchers who want to conduct research on postpartum mothers, in order to conduct further research and deeper relationship nutrient intake and nutritional status and quality of life for postpartum mothers both in villages and cities.
