Background: Consumption of drinking water is the liquid volume of drinking water comes from beverages consumed. Consumption of drinking water less will cause disease Hypovolaemic. Limit consumption of drinking water recommended on Balanced Nutrition Guidelines (PGS) in 2014 which is 2800ml / person / day equivalent to 8 cups.
Objectives: This study aims to reveal the drinking water consumption by the balanced nutrition guidelines in housewives. The amount of water in the study came from the drinks and the food was soupy.
Methods: This study is a descriptive study with cross sectional study. Samples are housewives who are in the neighborhood Kassi Kebo Village Shirt Bodoa Maros District of New numbering 97 people chosen by purposive sampling. The level of water consumption is measured using food recall 2×24 hours using the questionnaire.
Results: The results showed that the consumption of drinking water in housewives all still less (100%) of recommendation PGS 2014 ie
Suggestion: It is recommended that mothers further increase the amount of drinking water consumed by Balanced Nutrition Guidelines 2014, and the socialization of PGS in 2014 by a related party.
