Background: Nutritional problems are the direct cause of nutrient intake and infectious diseases. Nutrient intake is influenced by the availability of food and parenting family. Infection disease can be influenced by the full immunization for children before the age of 12 months.
Objective: This study aims to describe the status of immunization, infectious diseases, nutrient intake and nutritional status of children aged 12 -24 months Salenrang Village, District Bontoa, Maros.
Mhetods: This research is a descriptive study. Samples were children aged 12-24 months in the village Salenrang 30 people were selected using purposive sampling. Data status of immunization and infectious diseases obtained by interview using kuesuiner, the data obtained using the nutrient intake 2×24 hour recall consumption is then processed using a survey nutry. Nutritional status of the data obtained by anthropometry then processed using the WHO-Antro 2005. Entire research data is then processed using SPSS. The data presented in tables and narrative.
Result: The results showed that the immunization status of samples (56.7%) did not complete. Samples which had suffered from infectious diseases during the last 3 months as many (56.7%). Well as energy intake sample (53.5%), intake ptotein well as many samples in general (80.0%). Nutritional status indicators by sample weight / age is generally well nourished (66.7%), according to indicators of body length / age at large sample of normal nutritional status (73.4%) and by idikator body weight / body length samples of nutritional status normal (53.5%).
Sugesstion: Increased knowledge of mothers about the importance of immunization for children by local health authorities. Mothers are expected to always bring the child to the health posts and memeperhatikan food intake and eating patterns of children and implement a clean and healthy practices in daily life.
