Background : The prevalence of stunting in children of elementary school in Indonesia is still quite high. Poor nutritional status is closely related to inadequate food consumption, where there are 44.4% of energy consumption and 30.6% protein inadequate.
Objectives: To determine the relationship of maternal characteristics with energy intake in primary school children stunting.
Method: a cross sectional study with 31 sample.
Results: There is no relationship with maternal education with energy intake, however, there is a significant relationship between maternal education with maternal nutrition knowledge. There is no significant relationship between maternal works with energy intake. There is a significant relationship between maternal employments with the nutritional knowledge of mothers. Maternal nutritional knowledge no significant relationship with energy intake elementary school children.
