Abstarct

 Background: Student need a nutritional intake for two crucial reasons are qrowth and  education . Optimal growing give maximum opportunity to mental development of intelligence in a good educational environment.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship habits breakfast with the ability to memorize at School Modern Ulul Albab Sudiang Raya Makassar.

Methods: Design is cross sectional study, samples were students of MTs, a sample size of 30 people. Ability to memorize of the Qur’an were measured using self-reporting (questionnaire), Habit breakfast is measured by interviews using questionnaires, the total calorie intake the 24 food recal. Consuming energi using Nutrisurvey Applications. The statistical analysis by Chi-Square test “.

Results: The results showed that the majority of students do breakfast, mean students memorize 28 verses per week. From the test results indicate that no significan relationship with the breakfast habit and memorizing ability students.

Conclusions: It is recommended that other researchers can be recommended to examine the motivation variable, nutritional status, environmental support to potential variable.
