Abstract

Background: Hawker food school is an issue that needs to be brought to the attention of the community, especially parents, educators, and school administrators.

Objective: This research aims to know the description of the hawker food (snacks) school children after program implementation of PMT-AS in the primary presidential instruction No. 122 Jeneponto Regency Tamanroya.

Methods: This research is descriptive research. Sample ELEMENTARY SCHOOL cafeteria is the presidential instruction No. 122 Jeneponto Regency Tamanroya selected by purposive sampling with consideration are willing to do the research, selling some hawker food (snacks), and the school where the cafeteria has been following a program of PMT-AS.

Results: The results showed that the content of energy and protein on food hawker (snack) sold in the cafeteria that comply with the standards of the PMT-AS only a Jalangkote containing the energy of 302,2 kilokalori and the 7.1 grams of protein per serving. All hawker food (snacks) are sold in the cafeteria are said to be unsafe because of the presence of biological impurities so as not in accordance with the standards of the PMT-AS. All hawker food (snacks) which are sold not using local food ingredients that are not in accordance with the standards of the PMT-AS.

Conclusion: the conclusion of the research is generally hawker food (snacks) which sold do not meet the standards of PMT-AS.

Suggestion: It is recommended that the schools provide socialization a hawker for sale in the school cafeteria as a standard PMT-AS.
