PENGETAHUAN DAN KEBIASAAN KONSUMSI MAKANAN JAJANAN PADA ANAK SDN BADDOKA MAKASSAR

Abstract

Background: School age children have a habit to consumption food habits snack. The less nutritious food that doesn’t meet health requirements will treaten student health. Teachers as role models for school students are expected to play a role in the supervision of food safety snacks, especially those found in schools, both in the school cafeteria and around the school.

Objectives: This study aims to overview the knowledge and snack consumption habits in children Baddoka Elementary School Biringkanaya District of Makassar.

Methods: This research is a descriptive study. The population in this study were all students at Baddoka Elementary School Biringkanaya District of Makassar, amounting to 346 children. The samples in this study were students of class IV and V amounts to 119 students based on purposive sampling criteria.

Result: Results reveal child’s level of knowledge about the consumption of snacks mostly have good knowledge level is 77,3% and has less snack consumption habits as much as 58.0%. Statistics analizes of Level of knowledge about the consumption of snacks and snack consumption habits has P 0,771, was no significants.

Conclusions: Based on the results of this study concluded that the samples have good knowledge and habits of the sample is still lacking. Advice for schools to better monitor food sold in school canteens and vending food in the school environment.
