Background: Vegetables and fruits are the sources of vitamins and mineral, moreover their contents of fiber have are urgent part in our absorption process. Also the cause of nutrient’s problem and the change of consumption system is caused by the less of knowledge about nutrient which can be seen at their bad habit in eating. The increasing of teenagers nutrients’s status. It is also caused by food inoome and infection trouble.
Objectives: This research aims to know how the description about student’s knowledge nutrient, consumption system of vegetables, fruit and nutrient status at SMAN 1 Mattirobulu, Mattirobulu Subdistrict, Pinrang District.
Methods: The kind of this research is qualitive descriptive in collecting data where the sample taken are 120 students using randong sampling technical. Nutrient’s knowlesge is detained optained from Food Frequency Questionare blank and processed using computer program. Nutrient status is optained from anthropometry measuring including body weight and tell prossed using IMT formula manually using calculator. Data is presented in frequency and narration distribution list.
Results: The research result showed that about 0,8% of nutrient knowledge is good, 45,8% is medium, 53,3% less, and 5,0% obesity. Consumption system of vegetable is 43,3% enough and 56,7% minus. Consumption system of fruit is 41,7% enough and 58,3% less. Nutrion status is 29,2% thin, 61,7% normal, 4,2% fat, and 0,5% obesity. The average of student’s nutrient normal but they have the less of knowledge and consumption’s system of vegetables and fruit
Suggestion: The research suggest to Headmaster of SMAN 1 Mattirobulu to corperate with local government clinic and healty unit in visiting school in educating about the vital of nutrient which aims to increase students’s knowledge especially in healty part.
