PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG GIZI SEIMBANG, KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DAN STATUS SENG PADA MURID SEKOLAH DASAR INPRES PANNAMPU 2 KOTA MAKASSAR

ABSTRACT

Backgrounds: Nutritional problems such as short and thin faced by government primary school students Pannampu 2 Makassar City is still high at respectively 40.2% and 29.2%. This happens due to the intake of macro nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins), and intake of micronutrients (Fe and Zn) lower than its needs (nutritionally balanced). Iron deficiency can cause anemia and zinc deficiency can cause poor growth and brain development of children so that implications for the decline in the child’s intelligence.The target of this devotion is the elementary students Pannampu 2 of Makassar who have nutritional problems known to be rehabilitated and reconstructed screening of nutritional status determination, HB and zinc status. The purpose of this service activities is to provide an understanding and increase student knowledge about balanced nutrition. In addition, to increase hemoglobin levels and status of zinc (Zn) that the growth and development of children are in a normal condition so that performance can be increased. Implementation of activities in the form of lectures, discussions, giving iron tablets and tablet Zinc (Zn). Knowledge is measured using a questionnaire before and after intervention, hemoglobin levels were measured using the hemoglobin meter, and the status of Zn measured by the method of “ketchup smith”.The results of the service activitiesindicate that, the level of knowledge of students about nutrition balanced increased by 42.2% (the proportion of pupils who have sufficient knowledge and good illumination of 17.8% before rising to 60% after the balanced nutrition counseling). Decrease the number of students who experience anemia was 28.8% (9 pupils) after administration of iron tablets and decrease the number of students who are deficient in zinc was 28.8% (13 students).
